Our Promise
Apliom Family is built on five rules. We keep to them under any circumstances — they are the principles the product itself is built on, not marketing copy.
Apliom Family is an Apliom product. Apliom is the brand under which we release our apps. These rules are the standard for every Apliom product.
1. We don't sell families' data
Not adults' data, not children's data. Not for advertising, not for analytics, not for “training AI”. Family data leaves our infrastructure in only three cases: to run the service technically — through the infrastructure providers listed in the Privacy Policy (hosting the database in the EU, delivering notifications and emails, crash reports); at your explicit request (for example, a concierge request); or where the law requires it. App usage statistics are collected only if you have agreed to it, never include your family's content, and are never used for advertising.
2. We earn our money honestly
The free plan is a real product, not bait. Paid plans add capabilities — they never hold your data hostage: core family organization stays available, and exporting and deleting your data is always free. You see the price before you pay; there are no hidden charges.
3. We don't use dark patterns
No fake deadlines (“only 3 hours left!”), no guilt-trip notifications (“your family is falling behind!”), no traps when you cancel a subscription. Cancelling and deleting is as easy as subscribing.
4. We don't hunt for your attention
Apliom Family is a tool for calm, not for “engagement”. Notifications arrive when they are useful to you — a reminder, a message, a helper's shift — not when we want another session from you. No streaks, no badges for “coming back”, no feeds you can never finish scrolling.
5. We don't show ads
None at all. Not to adults, not to children. A family calendar is no place for banners.
What this means in practice
- Helpers see only what you have explicitly shared — this restriction lives in the database itself (Row-Level Security), not just in the interface.
- Finances, the Vault and the family's private entries are never visible to any staff member.
- The “What this helper sees” screen shows the access you have granted transparently; revoking access takes effect instantly.
- Children do not have their own accounts — they are profiles within the family, managed by a parent.
- Data is stored in the EU (Germany) and encrypted in transit and at rest.
- You can delete the family and everything in it at any time — deletion is irreversible.
- Every new feature is checked against “what does this change for the family's privacy” before release.
Transparency
Don't take our word for it — check in the app: open “What this helper sees” and compare it with what is actually visible from the helper's account. Questions about how privacy works: privacy@apliom.com — we answer on substance.
